The city’s municipal offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, though utility operations and safety services will maintain their 24-hour schedules.

Larcom City Hall remains closed through Dec. 8 under the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ emergency “three-week pause” order in order to curb cases of COVID-19.

Curbside pickups of compostable seasonal materials will end on Friday, Dec. 11. Resident’s fall leaves and other yard debris can be picked up by Ann Arbor’s compost collection if they’ve been placed on lawn extensions in paper bags, compost carts or branches tied into bundles. It is prohibited to place leaves in the street.

Through Friday, Dec. 11, residents and contractors can also drop off unlimited amounts of leaves from residential properties at the city’s compost facility. This drop off system is strongly encouraged since it alleviates the amount of bags left at the curb for collection, which slows down the city’s ability to collect from all properties and can present a safety risk to staff.

The city’s compost facility is at 4170 Platt Road.
