ANN ARBOR – Sample more than 130 wines from around the world at York’s first annual WineFest.
The Packard Street wine shop and eatery will host an outdoor weekend festival on Friday, Oct. 7, and Saturday, Oct. 8., for wine beginners and experienced enthusiasts.
Festival tickets cost $50 per day or $75 for both days, with additional tickets available for seminars, VIP dinners and a rare wine tasting.
Attendees will be able to taste wine with a logo wine glass, sample food from three food trucks and York, and listen to live music by DJ Batz.
One-hour wine seminars will be at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on both days of the festival. Speakers include Michigan winemaker Dave Bos, Henry Fox Distributing portfolio manager Peter Woods, wine importer Mike Daniels and Sean Mankowski of Taub Family Selections. Tickets cost $20.
Limited $125-tickets are available for five-course VIP dinners from Juicy Oistre. Limited tickets are available for a rare wine with York Wine Director Kyo Jin, and cost $250 each.
