DETROIT – Police found a missing 15-year-old girl at the Detroit-Warren border in the middle of the night and believe she had become a victim of sex trafficking.
Michigan State Police troopers pulled over a black Dodge Charger at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 16) for speeding in the area of 8 Mile and Schoenherr roads.

Troopers said the girl driving the Charger didn’t have any identification and gave them a false name. After investigating further, officials identified her as a missing 15-year-old runaway from Jackson County, they said.
She had been reported missing Sept. 25.
While troopers brought her back to the station to arrange to be picked up by her guardian, the girl told them she believed she might be pregnant and a victim of sex trafficking, according to authorities.
Troopers took the girl to a nearby hospital for examination. They learned several more details and believe the girl had been trafficked in Detroit, officials said.
Detectives continue to investigate.
After the girl is released from the hospital, she will be returned to her family, state police said.
