CENTER LINE, Mich. – A 26-year-old woman from Detroit was arraigned in connection with shooting her baby’s father’s pregnant girlfriend in Center Line.

Shantonya Chardonay Williamson was charged with assault with intent to murder (Life felony) and child abuse 4th degree (One-year misdemeanor).

“I am grateful the Detroit Police Department and the Center Line Police Department were able to work together and investigate this matter so quickly,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

Williamson’s bond was set at $750,000 cash.

Upon her release, the 26-year-old is to have no contact with the victim nor a firearm, and she has to wear a steel GPS tether.

The probable cause conference is scheduled for Wednesday (March. 1) at 8:45 a.m., and the preliminary exam is scheduled for Wednesday (March 8) at 8:45 a.m.
