Woman killed in 2-vehicle crash in Sterling Heights

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – A Roseville woman was killed in a crash in Sterling Heights on Saturday.

Sterling Heights police said the crash happened around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, on Utica Road near Forester Street.

A light blue hatchback-style vehicle driven by a 75-year-old woman from Roseville was traveling west on Utica Road when the vehicle crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic. A black sport utility vehicle was struck head-on by the hatchback, according to police.

The Roseville woman was the only person inside the hatchback. She was killed in the crash.

The people inside the utility vehicle were treated on scene by the Sterling Heights Fire Department for minor injuries and then released.

Police said alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Traffic Safety Bureau at 586-446-2920.
