Michigan State University police take person of interest into custody after anonymous online threat

There is no threat to the community

Michigan State University police said they’ve taken the person of interest involved in making an anonymous online threat into custody. (WDIV)

EAST LANSING, Mich.Michigan State University police said they’ve taken the person of interest involved in making an anonymous online threat into custody.

Officials said they received information about the anonymous online threat on Wednesday (Feb. 26) at 2 p.m.

MSU Department of Police and Public Safety said they acted quickly to identify the person(s) responsible for the threat by contacting the person of interest before taking them into custody.

Officials said they can confirm that the community is not currently threatened and will provide further updates as they become available.
