CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A woman is accused of stealing packages from an apartment complex in Wayne County, police said.

Emma Barker, 34, was charged with larceny in a building, a four-year felony and/or a $5,000 fine, and receiving and concealing stolen property, $1,000 or more but less than $20,000.

She faces up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine for the stolen property charge.

Police say the woman allegedly stole packages from the Ridgeline Apartment Complex in Canton.

Investigators identified Barker as a suspect on Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, and executed a search warrant at her apartment that same day.

When they searched her apartment, they discovered several more victims of the thefts. She was taken into custody.

Barker was later arraigned and given a $25,000 bond. She was also ordered to wear a GPS tether if released.

Her next court hearing is scheduled for March 7, 2025, according to police.
