Firefighter injured while battling flames at unoccupied home in Oakland County Side of home falls on firefighter
OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A firefighter suffered minor injuries while battling a house fire in Oakland County early Thursday morning.
Crews responded to the fire in the area of Northwestern Highway between Mapleridge and Philip in Southfield at around 5 a.m. on Nov. 13.
While battling the fire, officials said a side of the unoccupied home fell on a firefighter. He was taken to a local hospital for his minor injuries.
The cause and the origin of the fire are under investigation.
