HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – Firefighters have rescued a man from the roof of his home after a house fire in Hamtramck.
The incident occurred on Monday (Dec. 8) in the 1900 block of Belmont Street.

The fire department said the fire started in the rear of the home, prompting the man to crawl out of the front upstairs window onto the roof while seeking help.
Crews said they arrived and removed the man from the roof, and extinguished the fire in the process.
Officials said there were no injuries and the fire remained under investigation.
