Video: Detroit police seek man wanted in connection with vehicle stolen from gas station
DETROIT โ Police are seeking the publicโs assistance in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection to Nov. 4 vehicle theft on Detroitโs west side. According to authorities, it happened at about 7:15 a.m. at a gas station near the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and Joy Road. Police said the suspect exited a stolen 2008 Honda Odyssey, entered an unoccupied 2013 Chevrolet Traverse that was left unlocked and running at the gas pump and left the location in the vehicle. Anyone who recognizes the man or has information is asked to contact the Detroit Police Departmentโs Commercial Auto Theft Unit at 313-596-2555, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up. Family of man killed in Birmingham hit-and-run wonโt stop demanding answers until arrest is made
BIRMINGHAM, Mich. โ The family of a man killed by a hit-and-run driver in Birmingham said they arenโt going to stop demanding answers until an arrest has been made in the case. Wesley Stamps, 40, was crossing Woodward Avenue near Maple Road just before 2 a.m. Aug. 8 when he was struck and killed, police said. His son was well-known in Birmingham, and chose to live in the streets, according to the family. โIf you know that car, if you worked on that vehicle, just call and let us know,โ Ramsey said. โItโs never too late to do the right thing,โ Stamps' sister, Tara Gail, said.
