Airman accused of rape, suspected in 5 other criminal sexual conduct cases in Oakland County
WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ A U.S. airman was arrested after deserting the U.S. Air Force and a warrant issued for his arrest out of Oakland County. Ian Mitchell Wilson, 20, was arrested in the state of Washington after trying to cross the border into Canada. Wilson was extradited back to Oakland County and made his first appearance in the Waterford Township district court. Man arrested on unrelated warrants accused of involvement with fatal Pontiac shooting
PONTIAC, Mich. โ A 30-year-old man taken into custody on an unrelated warrant is accused of being involved in a fatal shooting at a Metro Detroit Coney Island restaurant. According to authorities, just before 10 a.m. Jan. 13, Oakland County Sheriffโs deputies were dispatched to DโAntonโs Coney Island, located on West Huron Street, between Telegraph Road and Woodward Avenue, on reports of a dead body. PONTIAC, Mich. โ A 26-year-old man was found dead in a coney island parking lot in Pontiac, according to the Oakland County Sheriffโs Office. Deputies said the Waterford Township man was found at about 9:47 a.m. Wednesday at the DโAntons Coney Island on West Huron Street. The victimโs friend and sister were unable to locate him and searched the area, finding him in a vehicle. Officials said when first responders arrived on the scene, they observed a gunshot wound. Deputies said the suspect is unknown.

Waterford Township police search for man, who they said broke into a gas station on Cooley Lake Road. WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ Waterford Township police are seeking the publicโs help in identifying a man they said broke into a Mobile gas station on Dec. 14. Police said that with a rock, the man broke the front door glass of the gas station, located in the 5700 block of Cooley Lake Road. The man is described as wearing a ball cap with white insignia, dark-colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. Pence will deliver remarks at 12:30 p.m. at Barnstormers Flight School in Waterford Township on Thursday, according to the reelection campaign for Republican President Donald Trump. The news comes as former Second Lady Jill Biden campaigns in the state Tuesday on behalf of her husband, Democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden and vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Joe Biden most recently visited Michigan on Friday, delivering remarks in Southfield and attending a voter mobilization event in Detroit. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, will face off against Biden in this yearโs final presidential debate on Thursday, Oct. 22.

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ A man accused of being drunk and driving recklessly at the time of a four-car crash that killed a 6-year-old girl and injured her parents in Waterford Township is facing five charges. The scene of an Oct. 14, 2020, crash at Highland and Airport roads in Waterford Township. The Waterford Township man driving the Equinox and his 6-year-old daughter were transported to a nearby hospital, authorities said. The woman driving the Fusion was the mother of the 6-year-old and wife of the man in the Equinox, police said. A vehicle involved in an Oct. 14, 2020, crash at Highland and Airport roads in Waterford Township.

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ Police are investigating a fatal crash in Waterford Township near a Mitsubishi car dealership that killed a 6-year-old girl. It was so hard,โ said Tammy Cole, who was nearby when the crash happened Wednesday afternoon. The first one crash occurred in front of a Mitsubishi car dealership. As they were turning into the parking lot, the driver of the Sonata crashed into them, killing the child.
