Washtenaw Community College opening up annual winter career fair to public

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Area residents looking for work will have the chance to interact with around 70 employers at Washtenaw Community College’s (WCC) Annual Winter Career Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

The free event will occur from 4-6 p.m. in the Morris Lawrence Building on WCC’s Huron River Drive campus. It is open to members of the public and students.

Recruiters at the fair will represent employers from sectors ranging from finance and computer science to health care, manufacturing and the automotive industry.

Businesses and organizations slated to participate include Ann Arbor YMCA, Ann Arbor Public Schools, Leslie Science & Nature Center, Zingerman’s, Huron River Watershed Council and Interim Healthcare Ann Arbor.

Internships, apprenticeships, and both part-time and full-time positions will be available.

Job seekers can also attend four free workshops to prepare for meetings with recruiters.

  • Feb. 22, 10-11 a.m. | Liberal Arts Building, Room 119.
  • Feb. 26, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | Liberal Arts Building, Room 130
  • Feb. 26, 5-6 p.m., | Virtual Zoom Meeting
