ANN ARBOR, Mich. – If you’re from or live in Ann Arbor, you can spot a Zingerman’s product from a mile away thanks to the work of illustrator Ian Nagy.

From March 6 through April 18, food giant Zingerman’s is partnering with the Ann Arbor District Library to show off Nagy’s flavorful designs and drawings.

More than 100 originals will be displayed around the lower level of the library system’s downtown branch, at 343 S. 5th Ave., during The Art Of Zingerman’s: A Feast For The Eyes exhibit.

An Ann Arborite himself, Nagy has been drawing for Zingerman’s for more than 33 years and has made over 6,000 images.

“I draw food for money! Best job ever,” Nagy said in a release. And yes, he does get to sample his subject matter.

His work has crafted the business’ recognizable aesthetic and has been featured on the windows of Zingerman’s Delicatessen, the walls of Zingerman’s Roadhouse restaurant and product catalogs. He is known for his lovable characters like Grandpa Pickle and the Bacon Detective. He has been honored with six Print Magazine awards and has been published in several books and magazines.

The Ann Arbor District Library exhibit is free and will be open to the public every day between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
