ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Michigan Wolverines have landed on new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey, per CBS Sports.
According to reports, Lindsey was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at North Carolina for the last two years.

During the 2023 season, Lindsey helped lead one of the nation’s most dynamic offenses.
The Tar Heels averaged 491 total yards per game, ranking seventh nationally and first in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
North Carolina scored over 34 points per game when Lindsey had current New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye was selected with the No. 3 pick in the 2024 NFL draft held in downtown Detroit.
Lindsey coached the Trojans at Troy University from 2019 to 2021 after coaching at Southern Mississippi, Arizona State, and Auburn University.
He coached the University of Central Florida (UCF) during the 2022 season before joining the Tar Heels.
Lindsey will replace former Wolverines offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell, fired by head coach Sherrone Moore last week.

Campbell and the Wolverines finished their defending championship season with a dismal 7-5 record.
Under Campbell’s direction, the Wolverines' offense finished the season ranked 128th out of 134th in FBS in yards per game, 122nd in yards per play, and 111th in points per game.
Lindsey, 50, is expected to take the reigns for Team 146 and help guide highly touted quarterback Bryce Underwood and the new-look Wolverines offense.
