ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan Wolverines defensive coordinator Wink Martindale is eyeing a return to the NFL.
According to NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, Martindale is scheduled to interview with the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday (Jan. 14) and the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday.

Pelissero says Martindale could also have interest from the Cincinnati Bengals as well.

As the highest-paid college coordinator, Martindale helped lead the Wolverines to an 8-5 record and a 19-13 upset victory over the No. 11-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

He also played a major key in upsetting the Ohio State Buckeyes 13-10 to cap off a rollercoaster ride of a season for the Wolverines.

Martindale spent most of his life coaching in the league, including stops with the Oakland Raiders from 2004-2008, the Denver Broncos in 2009, the Baltimore Ravens in 2012-20117, where he won a Super Bowl, and the New York Giants from 2022-2023 before taking the job with Michigan last season.
