Ain’t Too Proud - The Life and Times of the Temptations (Fisher Theatre), through Saturday: Get ready, ‘cuz here they come. The Broadway sensation makes its encore presentation back in Motown bringing the Temptations to life on stage. Hear almost 30 of the Temps’ greatest hits including “My Girl,” “Just My Imagination,” and the titular “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” through the story of how the hometown group was formed with plenty of local references. The Illusionists – Magic of the Holidays (Fox Theatre), through Saturday: You’ll never guess how these world-class magicians pull off jaw-dropping illusions in the holiday themed version of the box office record-breaking show. Elf in Concert (Detroit Symphony Orchestra), Friday & Saturday: Buddy the Elf gets even more festive when the Detroit Symphony Orchestra plays along to John Debney’s score live in front of the big screen. Holidays in Greektown (Monroe Street Corridor), Saturday 2 to 8 p.m.: There’s a new holiday tradition being carved out in Greektown. Walk down the Monroe Street corridor between Randolph and St. Antoine to find 14 holiday and Greek-themed ice sculptures carved right before your eyes. Immerse yourself in the festive spirit with Christmas carolers, hot chocolate, cookies and more. Greektown restaurants and bars will also be offering food and drink specials throughout the day. Trans-Siberian Orchestra (Little Caesars Arena), Saturday 3 & 7:30 p.m.: Get ready to rock this Christmas with the electrifying music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve – the Best of TSO & More” tour is the group’s latest and largest show to date playing all of their greatest hits along to an eye-popping spectacle. Monroe Street Midway, Thursdays through Sundays: The winter edition of the popular outdoor gathering spot is going to be your family’s new seasonal tradition. Right in the heart of Downtown Detroit, you’ll find a winter wonderland of activities including a 20-foot arctic slide, winter bumper cars, winter puck-putt and tasty treats.
