Specifically, we are collecting shoes from youth size 4 up to men’s size 14. Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL), in partnership with the Detroit Police Department and City of Detroit Parks & Recreation Division, presents Hoopin’ with Cops, a recreational basketball league for boys ages 11–17 that uses the game as a way to build trust, connection, and mentorship between youth and law enforcement. The program creates consistent opportunities for positive interaction, teamwork, and relationship-building both on and off the court.
