Tech ideas for your summer travel

On the road, in the air, or at sea, you can stay connected and protected

It’s the season of summer travel. But before you hit the road or sail off to the horizon, there are some other things you may want to take with you that may help you enjoy your vacation.

Verizon Tech Expert Andy Choi stopped by “Live In The D” to share some suggestions that will help you from taking pictures to entertainment.

One of the first things Choi talked about was having the right phone. Not necessarily to stay connected to home, but to take the best pictures you can. He showcased a Samsung Galaxy S23 and shared how vibrant the pictures turn out in daylight and low light.

If you want to make sure you don’t loose those pictures he suggested Verizon’s cloud storage.

“It’s a great way to make sure you’re not only saving all the images and stuff on your phone, but your protecting it and its secure,” Choi said.

When it comes to traveling with the kids, Choi said making sure you have the right plan is important as well. Kids, and adults, will stream and use data and it could lead to unexpected charges if you’re traveling overseas, or even across the border.

“You have things like Travel Pass, so if you’re traveling to other countries, you’re able to do unlimited data and texts for about 210 plus countries,” Choi said.
