Advice on packing more efficiently this summer

Expert shows how to pack everything you need in a small, compact bag

This time of year many people are packing a bag for a summer get away, and some advice we could all use is how to pack more efficiently. Whether it’s a quick trip up North, heading to a big city, or beach side, packing lighter is never a bad thing.

Mary Liz Curtin of Leon & Lulu, who is not only a clothing and furniture store owner but also a frequent traveler, stopped by “Live in the D” to give some advice on packing everything you need in a smaller more efficient bag.

“Step number 1, think about where you’re going. Are you going somewhere hot? Are you going somewhere cold,” Curtin asked host Tati Amare. She said don’t pack anything you don’t need like a swimsuit if there’s no pool or water, or an umbrella if rain is not in the forecast.

She also gave a demo showing how to get everything you would need for a 4-5 day trip inside a small roller bag and compact carry-on.
