This musical act is blending genres

TOAM appears on “Live In The D” ahead of 313 Day Celebration

A musical project called Tears of a Martian, or TOAM, is making a name for itself in Detroit’s thriving indie rock scene.

Singer-songwriter Arianna Bardoni started the project in 2018, and shared that her best friend helped come up with the name and it stuck.

Bardoni explained that she considers her music to be genre fluid and that she tries to blend her different musical influences.

“I’m inspired by so many different kinds of artists and music out there, and I just sit down, and it comes out a lot of the time,” Bardoni said.

Bardoni will be performing at Valade Park during the 313 Day Celebration on Thursday, March 13th.
