Metro Detroit baker competing on ‘Harry Potter’ themed show

Heather Tocco is a contestant on “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking”

The competition is about to heat up on “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking” when season two of the show kicks off this weekend with a contestant from metro Detroit.

“Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking” is hosted by twin brothers James Phelps and Oliver Phelps who played Fred and George Weasley in the “Harry Potter’ movies.

“It’s a baking show set in the wizarding world. So we’ve got teams of two, and they’re competing against each other to ultimately take home the Wizards of Baking trophy,” Oliver Phelps said.

Metro Detroit baker Heather Tocco is among the contestants that will be showing off her skills on season two of the baking show. Tocco is from The Home Bakery in Rochester which previously went viral for making a cake of Detroit Lion Amon-Ra St. Brown.

“Heather does lean into the lion theme. I’m just going to leave it there...,” Oliver Phelps said while hinting at what viewers can expect on the show.

Fans might recognize other “Harry Potter” stars who will be making appearances as special guests, including Warwick Davis who played Professor Flitwick.

Season two of “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking” premieres Sunday, Nov. 2nd at 8 p.m. on the Food Network.
