You soon might see driverless cars in Detroit, and it’s causing a buzz.
Waymo, the driverless automobile service, is working on expanding to Detroit. It was the topic of discussion during Local 4 Lifestyle Editor Jon Jordan’s Trending Tuesday segment on “Live In The D.”
Waymo officials said they will have drivers in the cars initially, but the hope is to have the full self-driving service up and running in Detroit by next year.
“I think it’ll be a little bit of a culture shock for us, but we’ll just get acclimated,” Tati said.
“I think that I would prefer trusting a computer driving rather than Joe Schmo, who’s picking me up,” Kim said.
The conversation about Waymo’s announcement led to Jon, Tati, and Kim talking about other technology in cars and what they consider “must-haves.”
