Make the most out of your makeup

Local 4 Lifestyle Editor shares ideas for expanding use of products

A retail trend that’s grabbing attention is “dupes,” and there are some creative ways to make the most of these low-priced versions of high-end trendy items. One example is with your makeup.

Local 4 Lifestyle Editor Jon Jordan appeared on “Live In The D” to talk about the “dupe” trend, along with “Live In The D” intern Audrey Ash. Their conversation revolved around how Audrey uses bronzing drops that cost $38, a steep price for a college student.

“I like it because it adds some color to my face, especially during these cooler months when I’m not getting as much sunlight,” Audrey said.

However, Jon found a dupe for $1.25, and he said you can use it in a variety of ways. As Jon explained, the bronzing drops are formulated to be used as an additive, or something you add to other products to expand their usage. He shared examples such a mixing bronzing drops into various products like foundation and creme blush.
