OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A Southfield man was arrested following a police chase that ended after he crashed into a home in Berkley.
Officers tried to stop an SUV near Edwards and Greenfield on Jan. 19, 2025, at around 1:30 p.m. because they said the driver, a 31-year-old Southfield man, was driving without a license and had multiple outstanding warrants.
According to authorities, the Southfield man refused to stop and drove away from the officers. The chase moved into Oak Park, east on Lincoln towards Coolidge, and through Huntington Woods before returning to Berkley.
As seen in the dashcam video police released, the Southfield man lost control of the SUV and crashed into a home. He left the car and tried to run away but was eventually taken into custody. Police found suspected cocaine and psilocybin mushrooms during the arrest.

The officer believed the driver showed signs of driving under the influence of narcotics.
The Southfield man faces charges of fleeing and eluding, possession of cocaine, resisting or obstructing a police officer, possession of psilocybin mushrooms and operating under the influence of narcotics.
Police said the Southfield man had multiple outstanding warrants out of Michigan and Georgia related to drug trafficking and theft.
No one was injured, according to police.
