A man trying to meet someone from a dating app in Warren led to him being robbed at gunpoint, according to police.

Warren police said on March 3, 2025, just before 2 a.m., that a man was initially trying to meet a woman he connected with on a dating app and was told to meet her at a house near 12 Mile and Lund.

He was told by the woman to call her when he arrived at the home. When he called the woman, she instructed him to wait in the bedroom while she used the bathroom.

While he was waiting, police said two men entered the room, took out guns and demanded the victim’s personal property. The suspects allegedly assaulted the victim with a gun and left the room.

The victim was able to climb out of the bedroom window of the house and call 911.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a car parked near 12 Mile and Lund. They then saw the suspects run out of the car and enter a home in the 29000 block of Lund. The responding officers weren’t able to get into the home and contact the suspects, so Warren police’s Special Response Team went to the house and made a forced entry.

There, they found four suspects, three men and a woman, and took them into custody.
