Man hospitalized after losing control of truck, rolling over on I-75

Driver found unconscious on ground after crash, police say

DETROIT – A man was hospitalized after he lost control of his pickup truck and rolled over on I-75, according to police.

The crash happened at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in the southbound lanes of I-75 near Meade Avenue.

Michigan State Police said the driver, a 66-year-old man, was driving south in a pickup truck in the center lane when he lost control and ran off the roadway.

The truck went up the embankment of an entrance ramp, across both ramps to I-75, and up the embankment of southbound I-75. The vehicle then rolled over and landed on the roadway.

When troopers arrived, they found the man on the ground unconscious. The crash was blocking the entrance ramp.

The driver was transported to an area hospital by Detroit EMS for medical treatment.
