Authorities say man shot people who stopped to help after crash

The man accused of going on a senseless shooting rampage on Christmas Eve in Oxford is expected to face a judge on Friday.

Malik Letroy Webb, from Flint, allegedly killed one woman and hurt two others who authorities said were all trying to help him.

While Webb was on his way home to Flint from a Christmas party on Dec. 24, 2024, he got into a crash on Ray Road between Lapeer and N. Oxford roads. His car went into a ditch.

According to prosecutors, 71-year-old Dr. Barbara Wolf pulled over to try to help him. Instead, Wedd allegedly fired 30 rounds, killing Wolf. Her daughter and another man who stopped to help was also injured.

Webb then allegedly tried to carjack a 39-year-old woman while holding a gun to her head.

The Flint man faces multiple charges, including murder, attempted murder and carjacking.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff, Webb is a repeat offender who was let out of jail early right before the shooting.
