DETROIT – Eastern Market in Detroit is extending its hours this holiday season to help shoppers find unique gifts while supporting local businesses.
From handmade jewelry to exotic honey, the market offers one-of-a-kind items perfect for everyone on your holiday list.
The market will be open every Sunday from now until Christmas, giving shoppers plenty of time to find last-minute gifts.
“It’s Detroit, it’s creatives, and I tend to be drawn to creative people and Detroit-type things,” Jack Hunger, a shopper, said.
Eastern Market is an ideal place to find unique holiday gifts while supporting Michigan small businesses.
“I just really think that fragrance brings joy,” Kai Tunstull of Touch of Kai said. “I always tell my customers free smells because I want you to be happy when you pass my table. Whether you buy or not, smells make your whole world happy.”
For those still looking to bring holiday cheer home, Christmas tree vendors are available seven days a week to help pick the perfect spruce.
“You can find something unique from a particular artisan down here that you can’t find anywhere else,” Jay Jermo of Hey Honey LLC said.
There is no admission fee to visit Eastern Market; it is free and open to all.
