St Clair County woman charged with attempted murder after boyfriend is stabbed on Thanksgiving

BURTCHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 28-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after her boyfriend was hospitalized on Thanksgiving.

According to authorities, St Clair County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron after a man showed up with a single stab wound to the chest. Authorities believe his girlfriend had stabbed him and then struck him over the head with a blunt object.

The man has been discharged from the hospital.

Taylor Spigner was taken into custody at a Burtchville Township home. She was charged Monday, Dec. 1, with attempted murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence.

Spigner’s bond was set at $250,000 cash/surety.
