Police search for suspects involved in late-night robbery of restaurant employee in Detroit

Officials said both suspects fled the scene on foot

Police are searching for two suspects who were involved in a late-night robbery of an employee inside a Detroit restaurant. (Detroit Police Department)

DETROIT – Police are searching for two suspects who were involved in a late-night robbery of an employee inside a Detroit restaurant.

The incident occurred on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11 p.m., in the 14300 block of Livernois, when the 38-year-old employee was taking out the restaurant’s trash.

While doing so, police said two armed men approached and announced the robbery.

Police said the suspects then entered the location and stole an undisclosed amount of US. Currency from the cash register while two other employees were inside the location.

Officials said both suspects fled the scene on foot.

Police said no injuries were reported.
