Northbound I-75 reopens in Detroit after snow squall causes dozens of crashes

No injuries reported

DETROIT – Northbound lanes of I-75 were closed in Detroit after a fast-moving snow squall caused several crashes just before noon, according to Michigan State Police.

The freeway was closed at McNichols. Lanes reopened around 4:10 p.m., according to MDOT.

Michigan State Police said there were 25 separate crashes involving 59 vehicles. They believe more were involved, but they left without a crash report.

No injuries have been reported.

Snow squall warnings were in effect for much of Southeast Michigan on Monday.
