KIMBALL TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office storage facility caught on fire early Wednesday.
It started just before 4 a.m. Feb. 25.
The storage facility is in Kimball Township, near St. Clair County International Airport.
The building reportedly contained ammunition, evidence, special response gear and other items. It was not immediately clear whether those materials were damaged.
No injuries were reported.
By 9 a.m., the fire was extinguished, but the building was significantly damaged.
Michigan State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have taken over the investigation into the cause.
