You may not know James Jackson by name, but you’ve seen his impact in the stories we’ve told because James has been one of the people making those stories happen.
A lifelong Detroiter, Wayne State graduate and diehard Tigers fan, James brought experience, common sense and a steady hand to the assignment desk.
He also taught generations of newsroom staff the meaning of hard work, commitment and good newsroom judgment.
James, thank you for making us better.

Will Jones returned to Local 4 in February 2023 as a weekend evening anchor and weekday reporter, after previously working at the station as a general assignment reporter from 2012 to 2015.
