Goaltender Petr Mrazek is a Red Wing again after a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, ahead of the NHL trade deadline.
Detroit traded Joe Veleno to Chicago for forward Craig Smith and Mrazek, who previously played for the Wings from 2013 until 2018, when he was traded to the Flyers.

Mrazek started 145 games for the Wings, with a 72-58-20 record, and a 2.60 goals against average. In 33 games this season, Mrazek has totaled 10 wins and a 3.46 GAA.
Craig Smith, an NHL veteran, has played 40 games in Chicago this season, scoring nine goals, and 16 total points.
Red Wings goalies Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon will likely continue to start most games for Detroit.
