Tigers-Mariners Game 4: Here’s what time it will start if Yankees win or lose Tuesday

If Yankees get swept, game will be moved back to 7:08 p.m. ET Wednesday

DETROIT – The game time for Game 4 of the ALDS between the Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners is dependent on what happens Tuesday night.

If the New York Yankees, who trail the Toronto Blue Jays 2-0 in their series, get swept Tuesday night, the Mariners-Tigers game on Wednesday will be moved into the 7:08 p.m. Eastern Time slot.

If the Yankees win on Tuesday night, the Tigers and Mariners will remain in the 3:08 p.m. ET slot.

Those time contingencies were added to the official playoff schedule on MLB’s site.

"If the TOR-NYY ALDS is complete after 3 games, the SEA-DET game will move to 7:08 p.m. ET on FS1," it says.

So, to recap:

  • If the Blue Jays beat the Yankees on Tuesday, Oct. 7, the Tigers and Mariners will play at 7:08 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8.
  • If the Yankees beat the Blue Jays on Tuesday, Oct. 7, the Tigers and Mariners will play at 3:08 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8.
