Ann Arbor community members can attend a virtual meeting on July 29 to learn about the current findings of the Lower Town study, a mobility study on traffic in the Lower Town area of Ann Arbor. The study works to understand how the growth in the area impacts vehicular, public transit, cyclist and pedestrian mobility. The Lower Town mobility study began in October 2019 and is anticipated to last two years. It was advanced through a 2017 Ann Arbor City Council resolution to update and review previous vehiclular, public transit, bicycle and pedestrian traffic studies through the Lower Town area. Tow truck driver Nader Chehadi was among two people killed and several others who were injured in a crash involving a school bus on eastbound I-94 at US-23 in Pittsfield Township last May. Chehadi's twin brother, Samer Chehadi, led a long line of tow trucks with their lights and horns on to commemorate his brother's death. A tow truck driver has been killed each year for the last four years in Michigan by drivers not paying attention, or not moving over to give them enough room. We can only hope this will be the last time,” Samer Chehadi said.

The bus driver exited the bus to get gas at a station in the 3500 block of Gratiot Avenue. Police eventually stopped the bus on westbound I-94 west of Zeeb Road, which is west of Ann Arbor.
