Wayne State University announced Thursday that classes for the Winter 2022 semester will begin online. The announcement comes as the school begins holiday break and cases of COVID-19 continue to rise, largely due to the omicron variant.

The booster requirement applies to everybody associated with the Wayne State community except those who have required exemptions and students who attend classes remotely at 100 percent.

The boosters will be available at October drive-through clinics and ongoing walk-in clinics by the Washtenaw County Health Department.
