Who doesn’t love “Mean Girls,” right?

When the movie “Moulin Rogue!” hit theaters in 2001, most people had never seen anything like it. Not only was it a musical but it was one without original music. All the songs performed in it were pop songs that already existed, and many of them were mashed up together to tell the story.

One of Broadway’s most electric musicals is returning to the Fisher Theater in January for a quick run of shows.

One of the classics of musical theater is in Detroit through Jan. 8 at the Fisher Theatre. “Les Misérables” is one of the most celebrated shows of all time and cast member Haley Dortch joined Tati Amare on “Live in the D” to talk about her national debut tour.

Broadway shows will be returning in Detroit later this year with the “Rent 25th Anniversary Farewell Tour” at Fisher Theatre.
