The Parade Company is putting the finishes touches on this year’s parade

The Ford Fireworks is gearing up to electrify the Detroit skyline on Monday, June 26with a stunning fireworks show over the Detroit River and broadcast live on WDIV-Local 4. Celebrating its 65thyear, this beloved summertime tradition is recognized as one of the country’s largest and most magnificent displays, enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of spectators each year.

The Parade Company, the nonprofit that brings us events like the Ford Fireworks and America’s Thanksgiving Parade, unveiled development plans for the organization’s new home along the Detroit riverfront.

We are now less than 10 days away from one of the biggest events of the year - America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Gardener White. The push is on to get everything ready, so we invited Tony Michaels, the President, and CEO of the Parade Company to sit down with hosts Jason Carr and Tati Amare to let us know all that is happening behind the scenes before the big day.

The Parade Company has announced its line-up of celebrity guests and recognized icons that will appear for America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Gardner White live on Woodward Avenue on Thanksgiving morning.

USA Today has nominated America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade presented by Gardner White as one of the best holiday parades in America.

Several new floats will be introduced at the America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Gardner White, and one of them is really standing out.

The Ford Fireworks are coming up!

Auto enthusiasts, get ready to restart those engines. The 26th annual Woodward Dream Cruise presented by Ford is back on for this summer.

The annual fireworks show in Detroit will stay in the suburbs for a second consecutive year because of COVID-19.

This year’s Ford Fireworks will be a TV-only event and you will be able to watch them on June 28 right here on Local 4.

DETROIT – Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan announced the annual Ford Fireworks will be held on Monday, Aug. 31, without crowds, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The event, typically held in late June to celebrate upcoming Canada Day and the Fourth of July, brings thousands of Metro Detroit residents to the Detroit Riverfront to enjoy the show. The choir will perform at 10 a.m. Nov. 28.
