The EF-1 tornado had peak winds estimated aT 90 mph, snapping dozens of trees and damaging barns. The EF-1 tornado was on the ground in southeast Kent County and southwest Ionia County for about five minutes Monday night. The National Weather Service reports the tornado started at about 8:36 p.m., and ended at around 8:41 p.m., staying on the ground for about 5.25 miles.
