The importance of CPR and AEDs in preventing sudden cardiac arrest
Nils Gulbranson, a 25-year-old soccer player from Minnesota, experienced sudden cardiac arrest during a game due to a rare genetic heart condition called arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy. Thanks to the quick response of two players from the opposing team who performed CPR and used an AED, Gulbranson's life was saved. He now lives with an S-ICD to manage his condition. Gulbranson expressed deep gratitude to his rescuers, emphasizing the life-changing impact of their actions and the shared bond formed through the incident.
