Tracking Weekend Rain. Here's The When & How Much
SAT: Get outside and get all of your outdoor weekend plans done today before some needed rain arrives to Metro Detroit Sunday. Partly cloudy to partly sunny skies today with highs in the low to middle 60s. The air quality is better, but high fire conditions are likely so be mindful, please. The winds will be blowing Canadian wildfire to the east today making for better breathing conditions.
SUN: Rain is coming from the northwest and southwest and the timing shows dry air winning out through sunrise tomorrow. Expect rain showers to begin after 8am with light to moderate rain into the early afternoon. Better and more widespread rain chances will go through the afternoon and early evening and parts of Metro Detroit could get a half an inch of new rain Sunday.
MON: Mostly dry with some bouts of sun trying to return here and there. The amount of sun will play a big part in our temps and with limited sun it's upper 60s to low 70s but, it could be a little warmer with a long enough cloud break in the afternoon. The breezes will pick up WNW 10-20mph and we could see an isolated shower or two in the afternoon.
TUE: Rain returns with some rumbles of thunder. This looks to be another wet day for Metro Detroit with temps in the upper 60s to near 70F.
A nice sun and cloud mixture Wednesday with highs heading back to 80F here in Metro Detroit.
We should expect a chance for showers and thunderstorms on Thursday before we dry out for next weekend. It looks like a nice and warm end of the week and weekend.
