The 43rd Annual Plymouth Ice Festival is this weekend in downtown Plymouth. You can see over 70 ice sculptures throughout the city and enjoy their popular 100-foot tubing run. There will also be a petting farm, festival food, nightly entertainment, and more! The event is free and fun for all ages.

They defined the Golden Age of Hip-Hop, so get ready to party like it’s 1979!
Winter Blast

This weekend, Winter Blast returns to Downtown Royal Oak, offering free winter fun for the entire family! Located in the heart of downtown, attendees can enjoy live music, ice sculptures, a medieval-themed village, a zip line, a kids' adventure zone, food trucks, free ice skating, family activities, and much more!
Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre

The world-renowned Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is coming to the Redford Theatre this Saturday! This animal circus features rescued cats, dogs, and a parrot performing various stunts under the direction of Gregory Popovich. The show combines human and animal actors in entertaining comedy routines with acrobatics, juggling, and clowns. It’s a cruelty-free, uplifting experience that delights animal lovers of all ages!
Detroit Boat Show

Huntington Place
The cars have officially exited Huntington Place and the boats have arrived! The Progressive Detroit Boat Show starts on Saturday, Feb. 1, and runs until Saturday, Feb. 8. It will be a week filled with all things boats. We are the Great Lake State, so we take boating pretty seriously here. If you have a love for being out on the water, you can enter to win free tickets here.
The Michigan Oddities and Horror Fest
February 1st - February 2nd from 10am-8pm
FMB Expo Center
Looking for a thrill? The Michigan Oddities & Horror Fest will be at the FMB Expo Center in Monroe this Saturday and Sunday. It will feature over 170 vendors, horror celebrities, food trucks, real human bones, Ouija board exhibits, metaphysical items, tarot readings, and more. Enthusiasts will have the opportunity to meet Linnea Quigley from “Return of the Living Dead” and Michael Berryman from “The Hills Have Eyes”.
Winter at Valade

Footloose the Musical

Everybody cut loose! The iconic 1984 movie has been retooled into a stage musical, and it will feel like you’re watching the original film with Kevin Bacon. The show is being produced by Oakland University, and the school has some seriously talented actors. If you’ve never seen “Footloose,” it’s about a group of teens who rebel against the norms of their little small town.

Fisher Theatre
Tony-winning musical Hadestown is at the Fisher Theatre, and its wowing audiences. This show won eight Tony Awards, so you know it’s gotta be good! It’s based on the Greek myth of Orpheus and his journey to the underworld, but it has a unique twist that audiences love. If you love musical theatre, this needs to be on your radar!
August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom
January 10th - March 2nd
Detroit Repertory Theatre
In a rundown Chicago recording studio in 1927, tensions flare as Ma Rainey, the “Mother of the Blues” and her band record jazz and blues standards. Ma Rainey fiercely defends her music, while her cocky trumpet player Levee dreams of making his own fame. August Wilson’s powerful work explores themes of rage, racism, self-hatred, and exploitation beyond the music. You can see ‘August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ at the Detroit Repertory Theatre now through March 2nd.

Looking for something fun to get into this weekend? Check out Bowers School Farm in Bloomfield Hills. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through February 23rd Bowers School Farm is free and open to the public for visitors to meet their animals, enjoy their cozy bonfires and to indulge in a variety of comfort foods from their Farm Kitchen and Store. Visitors can also purchase tickets to ride down their tubing hill that takes you through a giant light tunnel. It is recommended to purchase tubing tickets in advance due to its popularity.
