The Big Game is not the only event going on this weekend

Here’s a line up of fun happenings in and around Detroit

We all know the Super Bowl is happening on Sunday, but if you’re looking to get out and enjoy some events in the Detroit area, there are plenty to choose from.

First up, it’s an event you can enjoy inside and outdoors. Fireside Fridays happens tomorrow at Valade Park on Detroit’s Riverfront. The night will feature karaoke, new and classic board games, food, drinks, and activities for all ages. The event runs from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m..

Next up, it’s a whodunit? “Clue” continues at the Fisher Theatre this weekend. The board game, turned movie, now stage play, is a mystery comedy where the audience will be tasked with trying to figure out who the killer is. It could be anyone, and that’s where the mystery begins. The play runs through Sunday.

Here’s something else that will help you relive your childhood. Adventure is taking flight in Pontiac this weekend. Dream Arts Company, also known as DACO, presents “Peter Pan, A Musical Adventure” at the Flagstar Strand Theater in Pontiac. The show stars local teens and kids in the familiar roles we all know and love. The show times are 7p.m. Friday night, and 3 p.m. on Saturday.

With Valentine’s Day next week, there are events to get you in the spirit. The Detroit Public Library is having Valentine’s Craft making and story time. The event for kids 5 years old and up will feature craft making for families, and story time. The fun is happening Saturday at the Chaney, Jefferson, Chandler Park, and Main Detroit library branches, at select times.

The Cupcake Crawl is happening at Canterbury Village. As guests shop at stores in the village, they’ll find a different mini cupcake at every shop or eatery. One cupcake card for $3 gets you a sweet treat at every stop. It’s happening Saturday and Sunday, in Lake Orion.

Lastly, as communities continue to honor Black History Month. The city of Farmington Hills will hold its annual celebration. The Black History Month concert will celebrate black artists and features the Amen-Ra Drummers and Dancers for an evening of African music and movement.
