These Halloween Events are Happening Around the D this Weekend

Celebrate with the whole family - pets too!

You can take part in some fun events this fall season. “Live in the D” reporter April Morton has a lineup of autumn events happening this weekend around the D.

Boo Fest is being held at the Green Oak Village Place in Brighton for its 16th year. The event will include hands-on seasonal games, entertainment, trick-or-treating, and more fun for the entire family. The event is Friday, Oct. 24th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 9608 Village Place Blvd. in Brighton.

You can enjoy a festive and frightful fun-zone for all ages happening in Downtown Franklin. The day will kick off with a Halloween parade down Main Street followed by trick-or-treating, arts and crafts, a pumpkin roll, and a visit from Frankenstein and his bride. You can catch all the fun activities Saturday, Oct. 25th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It’s your last chance to check out the Halloween stroll at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion. Guests can feel like they’ve entered a Halloween town as they stroll through the fog surrounded by spooky displays, animatronics, lights, and friendly characters. Don’t forget about the cider and donuts too! You can join the stroll Friday, Oct. 24th through Sunday, Oct. 26th and on Thursday, Oct. 30th.

Head on over to downtown Ann Arbor for their annual trick-or-treat parade. You can wear your best costume and trick-or-treat with local businesses, enjoy live music, and experience Halloween activities all along Main Street. The event is happening Sunday, Oct. 26th from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Finally, don’t forget to include your furry friend in the fun. The 12th annual Grand Circus Dog Park Howl-O-Ween costume party is back. Pet owners and their pets are encouraged to dress up for the chance to compete and win prizes as well as enjoy games, refreshments, giveaways, a DJ, and more. You can catch the event Saturday, Oct. 25th in downtown Detroit from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
