Metro Detroit is seeing some snow showers Thursday morning—expect more on the way this weekend.
Still waiting on some high-resolution weather data to come in for Saturday morning. This will give us a better grasp of the rain/snow mix.
As of right now, it’s probable to see 1 to 3 inches out of this, but of course, the rain will highly dictate snowfall totals. If this remains more of a wet snow event, I cannot rule out totals upward of 4 inches.
Stay with our 4Warn weather team as we get new updates.
Temperatures will then fall Saturday afternoon, starting the slide into the Arctic outbreak early next week.
Extreme cold temperatures next week
Dangerous cold moves in Sunday through Wednesday. Overnight lows will drop below zero degrees, with wind chills falling 15 degrees below zero or lower each morning. High temperatures will only be in the single digits Monday and Tuesday. Stay with Local 4 as these temperatures could lead to potential school closings early next week.
