On Jan. 20, 2024, a video containing child pornography was sent to Gerald Richard Sarkozi Jr., 63.
FBI agents were able to track down the account receiving the images and videos to a man living in New Boston through researching law enforcement sensitive databases, reviewing social media and administrative subpoenas to confirm Sarkozi’s identity.
On March 26, 2025, the FBI executed a search warrant at Sarkozi’s house, interviewed him and seized his phone.
During the interview, Sarkozi reportedly admitted to law enforcement that he had a problem with child pornography and accessing it using his phone.
He said he got access to the child sexually abusive material using several apps. He told agents he accessed child pornography several times a year.
While searching Sarkozi’s phone, FBI agents found at least ten videos and 18 images of child pornography. According to court documents, some of the content included toddlers.
According to the Michigan sex offender registry, Sarkozi was convicted in 2013 for possessing child sexually abusive material.
