Here’s how much snow to expect in Metro Detroit today

Snowfall is expected to last through much of the day

Snowfall is expected to last through much of the day on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025 (WDIV)

We began the weekend with dry conditions across the region, but overnight cloud cover has persisted into early Sunday morning.

As we move through Sunday, an area of low pressure tracking south of the region will bring snow to the area.

Snow started to spread across the region after midnight and continued into the early hours of Sunday.

This snowfall is expected to last through much of the day.

Most locations can anticipate around one to one and a half inches of snow accumulation, with some spots possibly seeing up to two inches.

The snow will gradually taper off by mid to late Sunday afternoon and continue to wind down into the evening.

Temperatures on Sunday will remain cold, with daytime highs reaching the upper 20s to around 30 degrees.
