DETROIT – The Detroit People Mover suspended service for the remainder of Monday night because of a software issue.
Officials said service for the Detroit People Mover would remain closed for the rest of the evening while maintenance crews work to identify the problem.

Officials said maintenance personnel will conduct overnight diagnostics and test system components to safely restore service as quickly as possible.
Officials said updates on when service for the People Mover will resume will be posted on its social media channels as they become available.
No additional details about the software issue were immediately released.
