Center Line police find gun on school grounds amid vandalism investigation
CENTER LINE, Mich. โ Police discovered a gun Saturday morning on school grounds in Center Line. The gun was found while police were investigating vandalism at the high schoolโs new track and softball fields. Parts of the outfield wall fence and some fence around the track had been destroyed Friday night. Police found the gun near Wolfe Middle School. Police have taken at least one person into custody.

Metro Detroit adults with special needs outsmarting COVID-19 to succeed
CENTER LINE, Mich. โ A group of special needs adults at Rising Stars Academy in Center Line have managed to outsmart the coronavirus. When the pandemic shuttered their classes and work schedules they figured out a way to get back in business by helping others impacted by various shutdowns. Police investigating after man shot in parking lot of Te Roma bar in Center Line
Police are investigating after a man was shot in the parking lot of Te Roma bar in Center Line Tuesday night. Police said the man stumbled into the bar from the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his chest, he was transported to a hospital. The man is in his late 20s, according to police.
Police: Center Line shooting suspect found dead with self-inflicted gunshot wound
A man was found dead at his home from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a shooting Tuesday night in the parking lot of Te Roma bar in Center Line, police said. At about 9 p.m. Tuesday a man was shot in the parking lot of the bar along Van Dyke Avenue. Police said the man stumbled into the bar from the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his chest. The shooting suspect had fled, and police were looking for him. On Wednesday morning, Center Line police said the suspect was found dead at his home.
Man, woman injured in shooting in Center Line
Police were called to a home on Edward Avenue just west of Van Dyke Avenue in Center Line Sunday evening after a woman reported her boyfriend had just committed suicide. Upon arriving to the home police say they found a man bleeding and leaning against the front door and a woman bleeding from the face, both were inside the home. It appeared the woman was shot several times in the face and neck area. Police say a handgun was found near the man. According to police, the victims are identified as a 28 year-old black male and a 24 year-old black female.
Michigan estate sale owner ordered to pay more than $77,500 in restitution
FreeImages.com/Dani SimmondsLANSING, Mich. - An estate sale owner from Center Line must pay $77,523.21 in restitution after he defrauded nearly 20 people, according to the Michigan attorney general. Through his company, R & S Resale, Ronald Robling pocketed the proceeds from sales instead of paying his victims. He is accused of defrauding at least 18 victims of more than $10,000. Robling agreed to a minimum restitution order of $69,763.18 as part of his plea, but that amount was raised after two more victims came forward. If Robling can pay $25,000 by 8:30 a.m. July 21, 2020, his final sentencing date, the racketeering charge will be dismissed.
